• On April 18, 2007, CLONE held its first Staff Development Day. 73 staff members from Edgecombe, Nash, Wilson, and Halifax county libraries attended two workshops on The Reference Interview. The workshops were led by Dr. John Harer, Assistant Professor in East Carolina University’s Department of Library Science and Instructional Technology, and Bryna Coonin, Associate Professor and Coastal Resources Management Librarian in the Reference Department at ECU’s Joyner Library.  The workshops provided realistic exercises, lively discussions, and great opportunities for staff from participating libraries to meet and share ideas with other professionals.  CLONE expects to continue offering Staff Development Days on a regular basis.
